dolls

I'm into dolls now,for how long not sure to now but i live the moment as usuall. My little one is attendign a waldorf school(well they are actually pioneers as they are the second class that started at parents request-the first romanian language class though) and all kind of interesting challenging tasks are now on my to try lists, like dolls.i fell in love in making them.still have to learn many tehniques especially what regards making the hair and to look for organic materials.Between this time i'm learning on second hand materials and poly stuffings and consuming the leftover yarns...crocheted the sculp for the third doll(face)but i was v unlucky with the velvet hair yarn,i have to change all the crocheted scalp...where the yarn is cutted it's shaking off...thought i liked the color and quality.and you know dolls are very unhappy with changes...well i have to look up for loop crochet, maybe that would be a salvation, still she needs a new scalp.
i'm so happy i've found a lot of instructions and inspirations regarding the doll making.one of the dollmakers made a special impact on me i just felt in love with her dolls--thalita--you can find her on fb or blog .
Here are my very first dolls that were gived away for my sons class.

batik eggs

well,if wax written egg it's an ancient tradition in many places in Romania, and each region  has its own patterns i never tired it.As it is not popular the town i live somehow skipped my attention till this Easter when i made my first traditional pen-chesita,kesice,kiska as they are calling it-accuisition and  quickly became a new hobby.I've already learnt a lot and keep continuing until i don't crave for something else to learn...these are my written eggs-pysanky's

These last two ones were made yesterday.all the eggs represents my own patterns,no measuring, just playing.

crochet scarf and hat

form tiny things to chuncky neckwarmers and a nooked hat...
i must confess that i lost interest in crocheting lately but i'm used with these periods, now it's time for paper mache than for sure i will come back...
these stuffs i'm showing today are gifts that are fying soon to Sweeden.

This is how my contrived pattern looks in day light...can you figure out how it's made?
The pattern beneth must be more known...it is tunisian crocheting, slightly different from the well know tehnique

The blue knOoked hat that already has been modified as it wasn't planned to be pointed but i'm not used with knitting patterns so i learnt at least how to next time...

Have your best day...ildi
